Georgia Ballard, LMBT

Georgia Ballard is a licensed massage therapist from Western North Carolina, practicing an eclectic style with a focus on improved mobility, pain relief, and overall stress reduction. She grew up in the Appalachian foothills and mountains, riding horses, exploring the woods, and searching for adventures everywhere she went. After high-school she spent two years at Western Piedmont Community College before finishing her bachelor’s degree in Literature at the University of North Carolina in Asheville. For several years afterwards, she worked with animals, doing guided trail rides, equestrian care, and barn maintenance, as well as odd jobs and commissioned art.

However she decided on a change of pace, and  joined the massage therapy program at Isothermal Community College in early 2019. Now, as a graduate of the program and fully-licensed therapist, she uses myofascial release, Swedish relaxation, Reiki, and a variety of other techniques. She is still learning and trying new things, and is eager to apply her skills to help the community.
